2025 Winter Update
Summer is not for a few months, but we are starting to get excited for what we hope to be a fruitful 2025 peach season.
Entering 2025, we were concerned about getting the necessary chilling hours and wet weather needed for a successful peach crop. Thankfully, we saw a big turnaround in the month of January with the average temperature at 44 degrees - anything below 50 degrees is considered encouraging! Additionally, the soil moisture has been adequate and holding.
Overall, we are in a better position than expected, and the latest cold may be just enough to finish the bud chilling process for most or all varieties.

Looking Forward
As the weather warms and the trees come out of dormancy, we are going to need more moisture to keep the trees healthy and production high. Additionally, we do not want to see any adverse weather such as damaging hail or late, deep cold once blooms have appeared on the trees. The 2025 peach season is a few months off, but we are excited for what we hope is a successful year.
